Uptown
Coquette: Danielle's favorite restaurant in New Orleans. They are always changing up their southern style menu. The bread service is a must order.
Superior Seafood: The best frozen drinks in the City. Go for Happy Hour (4-6 daily) to get half off frozen drinks and $1 oysters.
Turkey and the Wolf: A great spot for creative sandwiches served on retro McDonald's plates. The chef Mason Hereford went to Danielle's alma mater UVA.
Parasol's Po Boys: Some of the best po-boys in New Orleans and great proximity to bars and other walkable areas in the Garden District. Alex thinks Parasols has the best frozen Irish coffee in the city!
St. James Cheese Company: A quaint lunch spot that locals adore! They have an amazing selection of sandwiches and salads (and cheese), and it is in a great walkable area!
Creole Creamery: An ice cream shop right next to St. James. Danielle is convinced it is the best in the country. Their Chocolate Amaretto Cheesecake is her go to order.
Molly's Rise and Shine: A funky breakfast spot that is the sister restaurant of Turkey and the Wolf. Go on Saturday to grab their weekly homemade pop-tart!
Vincent's: Danielle has been coming here since she was a baby. She can never live down the one time she could not stop crying here as a 6 month old. It's a great old school Italian spot. Danielle and Alex's parents met here for the first time.
French Quarter
Arnaud's: The Tolar Family loves coming here for holidays and special occasions. The 100+ year old restaurant serves up some great New Orleans staples. The tableside bananas fosters is always a fun order!
Tableau: Enjoy apps and a glass of wine on the balcony overlooking Jackson Square.
Irene's: Another New Orleans classic known for its Italian food with a Creole twist. The crab claws are delicious.
Bayona: Susan Spicer's staple French Quarter restaurant. Their courtyard is a perfect place to sit on a beautiful evening. Their duck is a must order.
Other Faves
N7: Some of the best garden dining and fusion French food you'll find. Get the soy creme brulee, you won't regret it!
Bacchanal: A garden wine bar in New Orleans that has great live music and munchies! You will have to Uber or cab, but it is worth it.
Peche: This is Danielle and Alex's go to restaurant to visit with guests from out of town. It has the best selection of local Gulf seafood in the city. Order one of their raw bar specials, the tuna dip, and fried bread!
Cochon Butcher: The place to try classic New Orleans meats like boudin and andouille. The duck pastrami is Alex's favorite!
Cafe Degas: Alex's favorite spot in the city. A classic French bistro with covered outdoor seating. The restaurant is located by the iconic City Park! It would be a great stop before or after the Museum of Modern Art or Sculpture Garden.
Parkway Tavern: A New Orleans institution. This place always is in the running in the controversial "Best Poboy in New Orleans" debate. The lines can get long, but the fried oyster poboys are worth the wait.
Uptown
Cure: A James Beard Award winning cocktail bar serving up creative original cocktails. They also have a fantastic happy hour from 3-6pm.
Bouligny Tavern: Danielle's favorite spot on Magazine Street for bar bites and martinis (request the anchovy stuffed olives). Their sister restaurant Lilette next door is also incredible.

The Columns: A recently renovated hotel bar right on St. Charles Ave. It has a beautiful southern style porch to sit on if the weather is nice!

French Quarter
Pat O'Brien's: The BEST! Grab your crew, get a table in the piano bar, and discover why Pat O's is a Bourbon Street favorite amongst locals!
The Cat's Meow: A favorite karaoke bar in the French Quarter with a great balcony set up.
Carousel Bar: One of the most unique bars in New Orleans for good reason! Carousel Bar is truly beautiful and a slice of history that has been impeccably maintained. If you can't get a spot at the Carousel Bar, the Hotel Monteleone has several bars that are great and have the same ambiance.
Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop & Bar: Dimly lit and one of the oldest bars in the French Quarter, serving beer & frozen drinks since the 1700s, including the infamous "Purple Drank." You have been warned!

Caesar's: Recently renovated and ready for the taking!

Beignets: There are several places to get beignets in New Orleans! Of course, Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter is the go-to spot and for good reason, but if you're pressed for time and/or want to avoid the crowds at Cafe du Monde, Cafe Beignet (French Quarter) and the Vintage (Uptown) are also amazing options!
WWII Museum: New Orleans is home to one of the best WWII Museums in the USA.
